PACIFIC INTERNATIONAL Lines (PIL) has added a Port Louis call to its West Africa, South Africa, South East Asia service. Effective this month, vessels will call at Abidjan, Lagos, Cotonou, Tema, Douala, Cape Town, Durban, Port Louis, Singapore, Colombo and Hong Kong. PIL deploys eight vessels on an 8-9 day frequency and has hinted at a weekly call as part of its future planning. Six new vessels with 200 reefer plug points will be phased in gradually as the line increasingly caters for the perishable market.
