Ulrich Ogiermann, president and CEO of Cargolux Airlines International, has been elected the new chairman of The International Air Cargo Association (Tiaca). Ogiermann said his aim was to increase the level of dialogue with shippers and forwarders about their future air cargo transportation needs. Ogiermann studied economics in Frankfurt before joining Lufthansa Airlines and serving in Frankfurt, Los Angeles and Johannesburg. In 1998, he joined Cargolux as senior vice president sales and marketing and took over as president and CEO in 2003.
