The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is developing a master plan for the country’s ports in order to “create healthy competition and to further encourage the development of the Lekki Deep Sea Port and Badagry Deep Sea Ports still under construction”.

The authority expects to reveal the plan to the public within the next six months, according to Port Technology.com.

"One of the important things that I have felt the need to institute is the port development master plan, a 25-year master plan that will guide the development of ports in the country,” Hadiza Bala Usman, managing director of NPA, was quoted by the online news provider as saying.
