Ngqura gets highest safety rating

The Ngqura Container Terminal
(NCT) has received Nosa’s highest
safety rating of Noscar following a
score of 95% in an audit.
Ngqura is the first South African
container terminal to achieve
Noscar status.
In October 2015 Transnet Port
Terminals’ car terminals in Port
Elizabeth and East London received
Noscar certification for the fifth
and tenth year respectively.
In the 2015/2016 year-to-date
an incident rate of 17 has been
achieved, against 37 incidents
in the 2014/2015 financial year,
according to Noxolo Thabatha,
acting terminal manager NCT.
