New warehouse module offers cost-effective solution

Completing comprehensive modular suite JOY ORLEK THE RECENT launch of Warehouse-IT, a price-competitive entry level warehousing programme, completes the modular range of freight software developed over the past six years by Johannesburg-based Winfreight. “It’s been well and truly bench-tested and has already been snapped up by two major industry players,” says Winfreight’s Mike Shraga. “At R45 000 for the module, it’s a highly affordable option capable of creating and managing multiple warehouses, incorporating bar-coding and RFID interface modules.” The company’s comprehensive product suite – incorporating freight and courier management, web track and trace, on-line internet booking, email POD, smstext-2-email, brokerage and debt tracking modules – is available individually and can be installed on site within 48 hours, says Shraga, depending on the company’s customisation needs. The debt tracking module, which was first launched in the UK and effectively enables the customer to become his own debt collection agency, has attracted strong support as has the brokerage module which is ideal for bulk freight as well as containers, he told FTW.
