New ventilated mini-container finds agricultural niche

AGRICULTURE IN South Africa has found that a new mini container developed by TNT Container Logistics is meeting a special demand. The TNT Magnum has, according to general manager Duard Scholtz, become so popular that two new magnums have been developed to provide flexibility of use.
The Ventilated Magnum which agriculture has adopted has a capacity of 0.57cu/m and a dynamic load capacity of 750kg. Fresh produce can be packed and stored in it, with loading and unloading made easy thanks to the drop-down gate. Made of a durable material with a temperature range between minus 20 to plus 40, the product is clean, economical and a safe alternative to the standard timber bulk boxes.
It was originally designed for the newspaper and print industry where the lightweight container is ideal to transport heavy newsprint and where the need for visual inspection of the contents is paramount. It has also proved a success in the cheese industry, as the perforations in the side allow the air to flow freely through the container.
"With a broad portfolio of dry bulk, liquid and security containers, we offer a 'total' package logistics service," says Scholtz.
"While each TNT container has been designed to meet a specific requirement, all share key attributes. Not only are they easy to assemble and operate, but also simple to fold or dismantle for efficient transportation and storage when empty"
All the containers are highly durable and can be stacked for space-saving purposes.
