Now in its 17th year, FTW Online has become a leading news service for the import and export trade.

“It has been a great fit with our traditional print title, Freight & Trading Weekly, which provides informed and investigative content,” says Anton Marsh, MD of Now Media, publishers of FTW Online.

“FTW Online complements the print edition, offering a mix of original as well as aggregated news relevant to the industry.  Our daily service offers readers quick access to information that affects their businesses,” says Marsh. “We plan to use this platform to introduce further functionality to FTW Online. While not much functionality has changed upfront, our improved design and layout will feature a lot more imagery in the news section.”

This is however a new car and not an overhaul of an old model, he points out. “We will be introducing new functionality on an ongoing basis. Should readers have ideas for improving FTW Online please send them to us. The site is a work in progress and our aim is to be as relevant as possible to our community.’

Aside from daily news FTW Online offers readers access to the only consolidated shipping schedule database online in South Africa, a quick tariff search, industry job listings, a directory of service providers and more.

According to Google Analytics, for the month of July 2015 FTW Online achieved the following stats:

178 089 page views for the month

04:18 - average time spent on the site

16 513 users visited the site
