As the global express parcel surge picks up momentum towards Black Friday at the end of November, and with the subsequent Festive Season rushing in, SkyNet Worldwide Express and Hellman Worldwide Logistics believe they have a handy e-commerce solution.
Launched at the beginning of October, the two supply chain partners believe they have an “e-commerce solution” that renders a fully integrated cross-border service.
According to a company statement the collaboration combines SkyNet’s advanced e-commerce delivery network with Hellmann’s global freight and warehousing expertise, “offering brands and consumers an end-to-end service that spans every stage of the e-commerce supply chain.”
Warehousing, fulfilment, re-fulfilment, business-to-consumer (B2C) deliveries and returns management are key components of the service offering.
The service is positioned as “faster than postal shipping yet significantly more cost-effective than express options”, the statement said.
It’s intended to provide merchants with an efficient and affordable alternative to current snag-prone cross border freight.
Integrated systems will enable comprehensive tracking across all regions and transport modes, while SkyNet’s digital tools and API connectivity will allow merchants to manage global shipments through a single platform, the statement added.
“Hellmann’s contribution of worldwide warehousing capacity ensures scalable operations to meet growing demand.”
SkyNet Group CEO Tommy Erasmus said: “We are combining our e-commerce expertise with Hellmann’s infrastructure and market reach to create a true end-to-end solution for merchants of all sizes.”
Martin Habisreitinger, COO Airfreight at Hellmann, said: “Fast cross-border deliveries are essential for sustainable global growth.”
The new venture connects warehouses directly to customers worldwide, merging global logistics with last-mile delivery efficiencies.
