THERE’S A new name on the local forwarding scene. Independent forwarder CCS Embassy has changed its name to International Forwarding Services, a move designed to identify the company more closely with the forwarding industry and to distance it from a local company with a similar name. The operation is run as two separate companies, one in Johannesburg headed up by Ron Thomson and one in Durban where Jonathan Hague runs the show. A Cape Town office is scheduled to open later this year. “We are a retail forwarder selling direct to importers and exporters and offering sea and air services,” says business development manager Cindy Luyt.
