GSAfrica Airline Services has been appointed the general sales and services agent (GSSA) of Air Mauritius. Having hit the ground running – the contract was awarded on April 27 to kick off on May 1 – it has been a busy month for the team, said Anne Sanders, executive director of GSAfrica. “Following our appointment we managed to get everything up and running by April 29. We have already had 17 tons on the wide-bodied flights and are now working hard towards sustaining this and improving in the weeks to come.” Commenting on the appointment, Sanders told FTW: “One of the weapons in our arsenal was no doubt Shekar Ramdin, who heads up the GSA Africa office in Mauritius. “His extensive knowledge and expertise of the Indian Ocean Islands greatly assisted us with the preparation of our business profile to Air Mauritius.”
