A NEW award has just been launched by the Department of Trade & Industry (DoT&I) to replace the President’s Award for Export Achievement. The DoT&I Business Awards are intended to “provide a showcase for SA to celebrate its achievements in the domestic and international trade arena”, said the announcement. The new awards are open to all - regardless of the size of the enterprise - with award categories including: “manufacturing excellence”; “supply chain management”; “job creation and retention”; “export achievement”; “ partnership and collaboration”; “corporate governance”; overall SA enterprise of the year”; “innovative enterprise financing”; and “overall achievement”.
