NOVEMBER 1 marks a new era for DAL Deutsche Afrika-Linien. On October 31 its11-year old SafDAL partnership with Safmarine ends, and while both lines will continue their membership of the SA – Europe Container Service, they will market their own brands and be represented in all European and Southern African countries by their own agency organisations. DAL’s Rudiger Brakling was in South Africa last week to spell out the practical implications of the development.
