ON MAY 1 Maria du Preez will take over as Gauteng airfreight director at Safcor Panalpina. She succeeds Henry Visser who will take early retirement at the end of October, continuing to act in a consultancy capacity. He has been with the company for 36 years. Du Preez, who holds B Com and LLB degrees, has worked closely with Visser for the past 10 years, recently as his second in charge. She was appointed an alternate director of the company last year. She completed her MBA in 2002.
