ONE OF the big performers in the IATA Top 30 was Freitan – with a 100.2% increase in turnover placing it second in the top three in percentage growth. Its turnover of R64.1-million in 2003 saw it grab 10th spot - two places up on its previous 12th league position. This followed it moving up to 15th place in 2001 from the 21st spot it attained in 2000. But, despite being a performer and making steady progress up the charts for four years, the company policy is to keep quiet about its activities, according to Freitan director Dion Ramdin, who once again politely told FTW: “No comment”.
