More progress in efforts to address CT port challenges

Efforts to address ongoing challenges at the Port of Cape Town PoCT) are making headway, says Exporters’ Club Western Cape (ECWC) chairman, Terry Gale.

“On the 12th of November, the Port Consultative Committee (PCC) gave the green light for a commission of enquiry, spearheaded by the ECWC, to address the issues surrounding the inefficiencies of the PoCT.

“The final report will be presented on December 3 at a special ad hoc meeting of the PCC in Cape Town - and in view of the supportive evidence, we will take this to the ministers of transport and public enterprises for action,” said Gale.
