Following an increase in intra-African load-factors, Astral Aviation has revised its freighter schedule, offering increased frequencies from its Nairobi hub.
Following the closure of Juba International Airport on weekends, Astral is now operating three weekly frequencies from Nairobi to Juba.
There’s an additional flight on the Nairobi-Mogadishu route making it twice-weekly to cater for the increase in peace-keeping cargoes. From its Mogadishu hub, Astral will be able to provide an on-forwarding service to Hargeisa and Djibouti.
Following the increase in mining volumes to Tanzania, Astral has increased its frequency to thrice-weekly on its Nairobi-Mwanza route.
In addition, Astral continues to operate weekly services from Nairobi to Dar-es-salaam, Zanzibar, Moroni, Entebbe, Kigali and Pemba, in addition to London Stansted and Liege, Belgium.
On the charter-front, Astral has experienced an increase in relief flights from its Nairobi hub to Bangui and Sanaa in Yemen.
Astral Aviation operates a dedicated freighter fleet of Fokker 27, DC9, B727 and B747 from its Nairobi hub.
