AS PART of a move to establish consistency in ship names, and to raise the profile of the MOL brand name, Mitsui-OSK Line is renaming most of its global fleet - with the lettering MOL as a precedent to vessel names, and the company logo boldly emblazoned on each hull.
But you are not going to have to make any name changes for some time on your cargo bookings in SA, according to line managing director. Dave Giraudeau - with new names only arriving on this scene when the current vessels in the fleet are replaced.
But the new image reinforcement is certainly part
of the line's thinking on
the trans-Pacific, Asia-US-Europe, Asia-Europe, and other east-west routes - and all these vessels are currently undergoing the change.
