Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products, bituminous substances, and mineral waxes

On 04 March 2026, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced an update to their “Prohibited and Restricted Imports and Exports List”, with the following tariff subheadings under Tariff Chapter 27 “Mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation; bituminous substances; mineral waxes” requiring an International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) import permit:
