Berth 13 at Maydon Wharf in Durban will be out of commission from July 1 this year as part of the berth upgrade, said the Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) in a letter to stakeholders last week.
“The Port of Durban will continue to hold one-on-one engagement sessions in order to mitigate any challenges which might arise with particular terminals,” said Nokuzola Nkowane, senior operations manager at Maydon Wharf. She noted that TNPA was still on track in terms of sharing the final signed-off project plan which the organisation would communicate "in due course”.
