Market access to over a billion

Lesotho’s bilateral agreements afford it access to markets with consumers numbering over a billion people. These include: • 50m consumers in the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) • 170m consumers in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) • Contonou Agreement giving access to more than 400m EU consumers • Duty and quota free access to US through Agoa • Quota and duty free access to Canadian market for all eligible goods manufactured in Lesotho • Highly concessionary Generalised System of Preferences (GSP) to Japanese, Nordic and other developed markets.
