... and pulls own ships off the trade

A NEW entrant this month to the Safari group - a consortium of shipping lines serving the SA-Far East trade - is the Danish carrier Maersk Line.
This was confirmed to FTW by Gert Andersen, SA-based m.d. of Maersk.
At the same time, Maersk will pull its own ships off the trade, closing its current service, and changing it to a slot charter agreement with Safari.
The other members of Safari are Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), Kawasaki Kisen
(K Line), P&O Nedlloyd, Malaysia International Shipping Corporation (MISC), and Safmarine.
The liner division of Safmarine was bought by Maersk in February.
