LYKES LINES has introduced an on-line bill of lading facility initially enabling
customers in the U.S. and Canada to download BoLs from the line's website.
The service will be extended to Mexico and Europe, with other regions to follow, according to reports from head office.
In addition to container tracking, other on-line services include instant rate and pricing information for US-related traffic, with on-line rate requests available for other traffic.
Next on the programme the line will offer on-line
submission of shipper instructions.
