THE TOP five cargo carriers for 2000 amongst the scheduled international airlines has just been released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). Top of the league in terms of scheduled freight ton kilometres (FTK) for the year 2000 is again Lufthansa Cargo - which recorded 7.1-billion FTK. Korean Air's cargo division came in second place at 6.36-bn; Singapore Airlines third on 6.02-bn; Air France ranked fourth on 4.97-bn; and British Airways rounded off the top five with 4.56-bn.
