Germany’s Lufthansa Cargo has announced it handled 469 000-tonnes of cargo in the first quarter, up 19.9% year-on-year.

This was attributed to an increase of capacity of 22.8% - through the reactivation of freighters, the expansion of the AeroLogic fleet with eight aircraft, and the extra capacity offered by its sister company Austrian Airlines.
