KEVIN MAYHEW THERE’S BEEN a slight decrease in traffic through Beitbridge compared to last year but business is still good, according to the director of Twane Forwarding and Clearing, Jasper Meyer. Twane specialises in transit bonds, clearing of refrigerated cargoes and as well as truck exports, maize and a range of other cargo categories. Its dedicated office at Beitbridge clears and tracks cargo through its subdivision, Border Documents and Monitoring, which assists drivers with customs documents. “It monitors loads on both the Zimbabwean and South African side of the border to avoid unnecessary delays while informing clients of the progress of the loads,” he said.
