KN joins US cargo security initiative

KUEHNE & Nagel has revealed plans to join C-TPAT, a joint initiative between government and business aimed at protecting the security of cargo entering the United States while improving the flow of trade. It requires participants to take steps to assess, evolve and communicate new practices where necessary to ensure tighter security of cargo and improved safety throughout the entire supply chain. In return, companies shown to be in compliance with the necessary levels of security demanded by the scheme will receive expedited processing for their cargoes and conveyances into the United States.
