KLM holds rates

KLM CARGO will hold its 1998 rates for a full six month period until the end of September.
We made a commitment to the freight forwarding community to treat them as partners, and price consistency will give them an incentive to build their products around KLM Cargo, says Alex Lens, regional sales director for Africa, Israel and Turkey. Though there was a serious shortage of capacity in the perishable season at the end of last year we kept faith with forwarders and did not push up our rates.
