Kenya Airways restructures cargo division

IN LINE with corporate restructuring strategy, Kenya Airways has established a new cargo entity to be known as Kenya Airways Cargo. This follows the airline’s buy-out of the 40% stake held by co-shareholders Martinair and KLM in subsidiary Kencargo Airlines International. The carrier has also embarked on a fleet modernisation programme and last month took delivery of two new aircraft- its sixth Boeing 767 and a Boeing 777. “Our fleet expansion will continue to enhance the cargo capacity needed to grow our cargo business into the future,” managing director Titus Naiduni told FTW. From September Kenya Airways Cargo customers will have access to track and trace facilities via the carrier’s website at www.kenya-airways.com
