Kenya Airways’ CEO, Allan Kilavuka, hosted the Secretary General of African Airlines Association (AFRAA), Abdérahmane Berthé, on March 7 at Kenya Airways headquarters in Nairobi to participate in the third edition of the AFRAA Member Airline CEOs Leadership Dialogues.

The meeting allowed conversations about the state of the air transport industry and its underlying dynamics, Kenya Airways’ restructuring, the airline consolidation feasibility study for Africa roadmap, the administration of the transport sustainability roadmap and advocacy initiatives to address issues to be discussed impacting Kenya Airways.

Berthé explained to Logistics Update Africa that AFRAA intended to facilitate collaboration with its members and collect feedback to align AFRAA with the requirements of their individual members.

The AFRAA team also toured the Kenya Airways Fahari innovation hub, which collects data to create new ideas and impact-driven solutions that address societal and business challenges, and strategises sustainable development by collaborating, co-creating ideas and empowering start-ups and small and medium enterprises.
