The Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) has warned the public about fake external job vacancies doing the rounds on social media.
The agency’s head of public relations and stakeholder engagements, Sanele Zondi, has said that job vacancies are being advertised on a Facebook page called “Recruitment Agency in Gauteng.”
Zondi confirmed that the JRA had not advertised these external positions and that vacancies advertised by the JRA only reflected on its website and national newspapers.
“Should there be any vacancies advertised by the JRA, due process will be followed as per usual. Importantly, the JRA does not use social media to advertise vacancies,” said Zondi.
“In order for the vacancy to be advertised, the JRA needs to be funded. As the JRA, we therefore wish to distance ourselves from such a scam.”
