Iran urged to ease visa requirements for SA businesspeople

Minister of Small Business Development, Lindiwe Zulu, has urged the Iranian government to consider easing visa issuance requirements for South African businesspeople.

During her address at the South Africa-Iran Business Forum held on the margins of the Joint Commission at the Department of International Relations and Cooperation, she noted that this would stimulate an increase in bilateral trade flows as well as the movement of people between the two countries.

Zulu pointed out that South Africa’s imports had decreased due to sanctions levelled against Iran; however, she emphasised that easing visa requirements would ensure that captains of industry in both countries would take relations further in strengthening ties.
