Inxpress targets niche between courier and airfreight

SINCE THE launch of its international courier network in April this year, Inxpress hasn’t looked back.
“We’ve seen 100% growth and expect to achieve a steady average growth of 20% over the next couple of years,” says director Ezelle Harris.
“Our specially chosen partners around the world specialise in their regions and therefore deliver beyond our expectations. If the requirements are at all possible, we will make it happen,” says Harris.
“On many occasions we have been able to process requests from clients to achieve certain deadlines that their couriers of choice have been unable to meet.”
The company was originally established in November 2002 as Haranth Express, focusing on domestic courier broking and dedicated road freight loads. Within months it was running linehaul to Nelspruit servicing the Lowveld area on an overnight basis.
Harris, her husband Gary, and Linda Harkanyi joined in March this year, re-launching it under the Inxpress banner to brand its new international courier network.
While it will be developing its domestic courier network with carefully chosen partners, international courier and freight is the focus of the future.
“Our aim is to find a niche market within the express freight sector which we believe will offer the ultimate solution to the gap between courier and airfreight,” said Harris.
“We are currently focusing on developing our Africa network through alliances with selected agents.”
And partnership is what it’s all about, in Harris’s view. “We believe we are able to make a difference by becoming a partner to our clients rather than just another supplier.”
