Int'l women's shipping association invites local membership

THE TWENTY fifth anniversary conference of the Women's International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) will be held in London this year on October 6-8.
A range of lectures and workshops dealing with trends in the market, visits to significant maritime centres, and various networking receptions have been arranged.
WISTA is a non-profit shipping and trading association for women, which aims to provide opportunities for its members to develop professionally, exchange knowledge and make contacts.
It was started in 1974 by a handful of female brokers in the UK and has expanded to embrace worldwide membership. Last year's conference in Hamburg attracted some 180 participants from all over the world.
