Mining and construction

companies operating in

Mozambique and elsewhere

in Africa are outsourcing

procurement in order to focus

on their core

business,

according to

Mahaveer

Chavda, chief

executive officer

of Chavda &

Associates.

The

independent

global

procurement

company

specialises in

“procuring

anything and everything for

mining and construction

companies in Africa”.

“Our extensive supplier

network ensures that we can

source anything, no matter how

big or small.

“We will source from

anywhere in the world, have it

inspected and then delivered

anywhere on the African

continent.

“Products we supply range

from large capital equipment

and construction

supplies to

consumable

items,” he says.

The expansion

drive into Africa

started with a

single client in

2004, and the

company now

counts “many

well-established

mines and

construction

companies,

predominantly in Angola and

Mozambique, as its clients.

Transport and warehousing

are provided through Chavda

Freight, an independently

managed company which

provides customers with an

integrated supply chain service

using road, air and sea transport.

INSERT & CAPTION

We will source from

anywhere in the world,

have it inspected and

then delivered anywhere

on the African continent.

– Mahaveer Chavda
