On 02 October 205, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced the insertion, with effect from 01 January 2026, of the word ‘Safeguard’ in the heading of Schedule No.2 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964, to read: “ANTI-DUMPING, COUNTERVAILING AND SAFEGUARD DUTIES ON IMPORTED GOODS”.
