Indian tractor company eyes SA for expansion

Indian tractor manufacturer,  Sonalika International – which exports 6 000 units to Africa – is planning to build two more assembly plants in Africa, likely in South Africa and East Africa, reports TradeMark Southern Africa (TMSA).
"We are planning to add another two assembly plants by this year. We are looking at options in South Africa and in the East African countries," Rajiv Wahi, senior president, international business, International Tractors, a Sonalika Group Company,  reportedly told Newstrack India in an interview. The company has three existing assembly plants in Cameroon, Nigeria and Algeria. The investment needed to set up any assembly plant would be between US$5 million and $20 million, according to Newstrack.
