Mozambique’s Rovuma Basin.

There is more global interest in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Mozambique’s Rovuma Basin.

Chairman of state-owned oil and gas company Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH), Omar Mithá, said a state-owned company from India had signed a contract for the purchase of natural gas.

“They plan to import 1 million tonnes of gas, with the first shipment expected by 2024,” he said.
