IMPERIAL LOGISTICS has established a new company to focus exclusively on the abnormal cargo market. Branded Imperial Abnormal Cargo, the company is headed by Hennie Swanepoel, formerly a director and co-owner of Transvaal Heavy Transport (THT). Since its official launch in August, the company has moved heavy machinery and mining equipment domestically and overborder for the likes of De Beers, Anglo American and Joy Mining. Clearing and forwarding is handled in-house by Megafreight Services.
