MANAGING THE total logistics, from the manufacturer's site to the end-user, is the major focus of Viamax Distribution.

We move on-site, into our customer's premises with a full warehousing and distribution service, taking over the logistics management from production line to end-user, says Viamax m. d. Eugene Vermaak.

It's a quality and time-saving operation, eliminating the need to transfer the goods from production point to the handler's warehouse prior to shipment. Established in 1990, the company offers a full logistics service, from simple warehousing and distribution, to total supply chain management on an international basis, with facilities in seven southern African states. Reversed logistics, bond storage and import containers are handled by the national operations.

Our alliance with Kuehne and Nagel means we are able to manage international freight movement by air and sea. This involves full freight tracking, forwarding and clearing, warehousing, including bonded storage, picking and packing processes and distribution to the end user, says Vermaak.

Our focused management allows Viamax to be totally flexible to individual customers' requirements, with focus on added value processes. The customer base includes high value commodities, TVs, VCRs, Hi-Fis, with Lewis Stores, Dan Hands, Omega Holdings, MBS, Amrel Group and JD Group included. In addition the company also manages the warehousing and distribution of African Products, Consol Glass, Polifin and Chemserve and has been awarded the warehouse management contract for S.A. Trim.
