EXPERTS FROM the Port of Felixstowe will manage and operate the Kenya Ports Authority's Mombasa container terminal under a US$1-million a year contract.

The Mombasa terminal, whose throughput is now 70% containerised, is working to improve its handling rate from 200 container moves per vessel per 24 hours to 350 or more.
