Help at hand for SMMEs

Providing Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) with the tools to drive and grow the competitiveness of their businesses will take centre stage at the upcoming 2021 Absa Smart Supplier Conference to be held online on November 10.

The impact of Covid on SMMEs has been significant, with an Ipsos survey revealing that more than half of the owners of SMMEs were uncertain about the sustainability of their businesses due to pandemic, while 63% said that they were performing "not well" or "not very well" after lockdown.

Now in its 6th year, this annual event is organised by Smart Procurement World.

“This conference aims to boost supplier performance, preparing corporate-ready suppliers to be smart suppliers,” says Smart Procurement chief operating officer Debbie Tagg.

Absa’s Kgaleletso Tlhoaele will present the keynote address, examining how South African SMMEs can survive and thrive in the current environment.
