Gypsum Plasterboard Anti-dumping Duties - Thailand and Indonesia

On 14 August the South African Revenue Service (SARS) announced the substitution of anti-dumping Item 213.02/6809.11/06.06, in Part 1 of Schedule No.2 to the Customs and Excise Act, 1964 “Anti-Dumping Duties”, in order to maintain anti-dumping duties on gypsum plasterboard, classifiable in tariff subheading 6809.11, originating in or imported from Thailand and Indonesia (excluding that manufactured by PT. Siam-Indo Gypsum Industry). The implementation date is on 14 August.

The reasoning is contained in the International Trade Administration Commission of South Africa (ITAC) Report No.624.

Anti-dumping Item 213.02/6809.11/06.06 “Boards, sheets, panels, tiles and similar articles of plaster or of compositions based on plaster, faced or reinforced with paper or paperboard only, not ornamented, (excluding that manufactured by PT. Siam-Indo Gypsum Industry)”.

Rebate Items: 301.00-399.00; 401.00-499.00

Originating in or imported from: Indonesia

Ant-dumping duty: 34.6%
