Gulf Air plans SA service next year

GULF AIR has revealed plans to launch flights on the SA route by the end of the first quarter of 2004. UK-based Gulf Air spokesman Richard McDonald confirmed at last week’s World Travel Market in London that the SA route was a priority for the airline, which had planned to begin flying to Johannesburg by the end of this year. Capacity to Perth grows FROM DECEMBER 5 South African Airways will add a further flight between Johannesburg and Perth, taking to six the number of flights on the route. This additional flight will operate until January 24, 2004. An Airbus A340-200 will be used for all six flights.
