Greek port operations could be affected by strike action

A new 24-hour general strike – which could affect commercial vessel calls at Greek ports – is scheduled to start at 11h00 tomorrow (Thursday), according to a World Maritime News report citing the Greek Dockworkers’ Union.

In addition, the Seamen Union is expected to hold 48-hour strikes until December 9 when talks will be held on possible further actions.
