Despite a slight decrease in net turnover and gross profit, the Kuehne + Nagel Group improved its operational result (EBITDA) by 2.1% in the first half of 2015. Earnings for the period increased by 4.2%.
Dr Detlef Trefzger, CEO of Kuehne + Nagel International, said: “Given the demanding market environment and currency volatility, we are very pleased about our results in the first half of 2015. The solid performance in seafreight and the increased profitability in airfreight are to be highlighted..”
He said the group had seen a 4.4% increase of gross profit per TEU for its seafreight division and a 5.2% increase in airfreight tonnage.
