Global body will help to keep African skies safe

THE FEDERAL Aviation Administration (FAA) is to help in the development of a new satellite navigation system in the sub-Saharan region, according to Vic van der Westhuizen, project manager for IATA (International Air Transport Association). It is to participate in the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) project for 26 airports in 14 states in the SADC (Southern African Development Community) - including SA.
