Gauteng premier David Makhura has launched the Tshepo 1 Million programme which aims to empower one million young people through skills training, job placement and entrepreneurship development by 2019.Gauteng premier, David Makhura.
The programme, launched at the youth expo in Nasrec Expo Centre, is the Gauteng provincial government’s flagship programme for the youth to help them find sustainable jobs and ensure they are trained and skilled in areas of high demand.
Makhura said: “We want to use the programme to ignite a new social compact and galvanise a new partnership that focuses on giving hope to the youth of Gauteng by tackling youth unemployment.”
