ALAN PEAT
AS THIS issue went to press on Monday morning, a late news flash confirmed the imminent permanent appointment of Siyabonga Gama as Spoornet chief executive.
Transnet chief executive, Maria Ramos, was expected to confirm this within days of our printing deadline.
Gama has been acting CE since the resignation of Dolly Mokgatle in January – and his actions to date have met with encouraging approval from the private sector, who have suggested that he is a go-getter, and a man of action.
