The construction of a new facility at Lufthansa’s Frankfurt hub for the storage of valuable works of art is under way.

Lufthansa Cargo yesterday laid the foundation for the 168-square-metre ‘ArtCube’ at its Lufthansa Cargo Center. It is scheduled to go into operation at the end of the year.

The new art warehouse will be equipped with air-conditioning units with heating and cooling functions, creating an almost constant temperature. Through the vertical window bands it will receive natural lighting.
