A new intelligent camera

system and fingerprintcontrolled

entry points are

among the security upgrades in

the port of Beira that are being

implemented. All terminals have

been fully secured with electric

fencing, according to Cornelder

commercial manager Jan de Vries.

This year new higher and more

rigid fencing will be installed

around the entire port perimeter

to further improve security.

A new private security company

that specializes in port security

has also been appointed.
